[00:00:47] Matty: Oh my god. Oh, I love it. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my use of noodles.

[00:00:53] Megan: Oh, I can't believe that.

[00:00:55] Matty: I think the use of noodles is still controversial.

[00:00:58] Megan: And I think people prefer JJ's my way of using it.

[00:01:02] Matty: I've gotten none of that feedback. Well, I'm noodling. I in fact got feedback that I'd like to share with you all and our listeners uh of a voicemail of a listener that attempted to use noodles in the way I've meant it to be used when she was out having dinner, apparently.

[00:01:20] JJ: Okay.

[00:01:21] Matty: So uh rather than talk much about it, let's just play it.

[00:01:25] JJ: Okay. Yeah.

[00:01:25] Matty: Play that.

[00:01:28] Listener voicemail: Okay. Smidge hung. I was waiting for the perfect opportunity. And when the fajitas all came, well, I should take a step back. We were at a very loud and dark and crowded Mexican restaurant. And when the fajitas were all coming to the center of the table, my fork got knocked onto the ground. And I was like, oh, this is the best opportunity to yell noodle. So I did. And then the person next to me said, What did you just say? And I said, She goes, Did you just say that N-word? um I said, no, I said noodle. She said, What? She didn't hear me. And then I said, never mind. And then I abandoned it completely. Because I was too embarrassed to shout it again. We're going to a much quieter restaurant tonight with a different group of people, and they're all pregnant. So I'm the only one that will be drinking. So they will certainly all hear me if they say it tonight.

[00:02:40] JJ: Oh my god. Oh my god, I love it. All the things that I can hear that is she's a true Slipper. True and true.

[00:02:48] Matty: Yeah.

[00:02:49] JJ: Like, "smidge hung."

[00:02:50] Matty: I mean, I'm gonna use it from now on. I love it. You could tell in the way she was speaking. Like, yeah, like there was some long pauses. Correct.

[00:02:59] Megan: Yeah.

[00:02:59] Matty: Oh my god, I've been there. I've been there, Slipper.

[00:03:02] JJ: It's the "smidge hung."

[00:03:04] Megan: And this is why your version of noodles doesn't work. People think you're saying the n-word, which is no one wants that.

[00:03:10] Matty: Hold on. That was this case. So why don't we do this? Why don't we challenge our listeners to try to use it and then give us a new testimonial and see how it landed and others? So, like that's the that's the challenge.

[00:03:26] Matty: Well, so yeah, okay. So she left a second message, and we I thought what when I went to play it, it was gonna be because she said she's gonna go to another restaurant. No, that was not it. Play that one.

[00:04:02] Megan: I love it because I was thinking it was gonna be about oh, this other noodles update, and it was not about noodles at all.

[00:04:09] JJ: The only thing that uh that would make it better is if was if she was said pins and needles.

[00:04:15] Matty: I know. I wish, I mean, because we've used pins and needles. Yes, my pins and needles. But it's perfect.

[00:04:21] JJ: Let's just continue with Slippers. If you are going to a restaurant, you're in the middle of a conversation with somebody and you need to noodle on it.

[00:04:31] Matty: No, JJ, here we go again. No, that's it.

[00:04:37] JJ: I'm still noodles about it. I'm still noodles.

[00:04:39] Matty: Yeah, because if you say I'm gonna noodle on it, that's nothing noodle about it. I'm still noodles about it. Noodles. The noodle debate rages on. All right. to also give one update because last episode I had talked about getting lotto tickets, and I didn't realize when I was at a Walmart uh and I tried to use the lottery kiosk and it wasn't working. And the the clerk said 9 a.m. um, so I thought, oh, there's a 10 a.m.

[00:05:06] Megan: is what you said last time.

[00:05:07] Matty: Yeah, 10 a.m. Yeah. All right, 10 a.m. 10 a.m. I'm gonna have to do another correction. Well, that's why I'm trying to feed you off. All right. Anyway, anyway, I did not, I put, I didn't know where to place the blame. The blame is on Walmart. So you can buy Lotto at any time of the day. And I've tested it because I used the app and I bought it like 8 30 in the morning.

[00:05:33] Matty: It's a no. So Walmart is to blame. And I don't know why they're putting in my mind, it feels like they're making a judgment call that like, why are they the lotto police to say you shouldn't be buying lotos before 10 a.m.?

[00:05:48] JJ: Well, my expectations going to Walmart are like zero to none. Well, I'm like whatever comes up.

[00:05:54] Megan: But let me ask you this is that machine just to buy the lotto tickets, or is it also for like scratch-offs and things like that?

[00:06:01] Matty: All kinds.

[00:06:02] Megan: So maybe the issue is the scratch offs. Have you bought scratch-offs online?

[00:06:07] Matty: Well, no.

[00:06:08] Megan: Why you can't know if they mailed them to you. Scratch offs, also meaning they mail them to you.

[00:06:15] Matty: No.

[00:06:16] Megan: Okay. Well, I don't know. I have to do that.

[00:06:17] Matty: They do have little games on the Lotto app that are Censor. Yeah, like, yeah, yeah.

[00:06:22] Megan: So I guess it's but you can But you can do it at any hour, any time of the day.

[00:06:27] Matty: Listen, I was hoping to wrap this subject up. You're bringing more questions. Now I'm gonna have to do another follow-up.

[00:06:33] Megan: I just know that the Walmart was messing with you with the machine, not the state of Michigan lottery division.

[00:06:40] Matty: I'll check it the next time I go because I have to go there every time for my yogurt.

[00:06:45] JJ: Well, usually I'm not a big fan of an update, but I've been put in this position that I need to correct myself a little bit.

[00:06:52] Megan: Okay.

[00:06:53] JJ: Because we were talking about the last episode about to catch a predator as the Yes, Chris Hansen. Chris Hansen, yes. And I made a comment, Chris, yes, about your demeanor when you're having an interview.

[00:07:03] Matty: Oh, you're speaking directly to Chris.

[00:07:06] JJ: I was actually thinking in my head. I'm more of a face person than a name. Okay. And I think that's just probably like the English, Hispanic, second language type of thing. I was actually thinking about uh just uh banquets. Manquitz? Mankuit. From dateline. From dateline. I don't know if any of you have seen him having an interview. I think I'd actually make comments when we were watching it together. It's like, is he like interested on it? So that's why I went into that mode when we were talking about Chris Henson.

[00:07:40] Matty: And you can tell now why Megan and I were reacting in the way because we weren't tracking, but you were a hundred percent we didn't go come for you. We were just we were trying to get Chris on the pod.

[00:07:51] JJ: So we didn't want to Well, Chris, just don't welcome here. Yes.

[00:07:54] Matty: I thought you were just and he'd be very interested. Because Josh Mankowitz does do exactly like it's always like, yes, and then what did you did you oh and then were you really there? Yeah.

[00:08:06] JJ: I don't think so. Do I really want to be here?

[00:08:10] Megan: No, Chris Hansen is like, he's catching the pedophiles. Okay.

[00:08:40] Matty: I love that. Okay. So we got a lot of creatures to feature today. Yeah, we do. So we're gonna talk a lot today about different creature features, making some news and headlines, and we're gonna kick it off today being August 1st. This will drop the Wednesday coming up.

[00:08:58] JJ: August 5th, I think.

[00:08:59] Matty: And uh, but August 1st is the completion of Shark Week. So the whole thing was it's a lot.

[00:09:07] JJ: There is nothing against the sharks. Matty and I we we attempted to go uh great white shark cage-diving type of thing, like on the cage, remember in South Africa, but we couldn't because of the weather.

[00:09:21] Matty: We were going to cage dive with sharks.

[00:09:24] JJ: The experience was you go in the bowl first and they bait, like they throw the thick the bait on the on the air and they will catch it. Oh, and then you'll go on the cage. But we couldn't do it because of weather. I'm just saying that because it's still on my list. I would love to wear it. You wouldn't do it? I don't think so.

[00:09:40] Matty: No.

[00:09:41] JJ: But I have nothing against the sharks. It's just is it a week?

[00:09:45] Matty: They get a full week, yeah. And you know, they had the whole in years past, you're like the Sharknado that were cult phenomenon.

[00:09:54] JJ: Yeah.

[00:09:54] Matty: And they do all kinds of programming. It was on the news all week, usually, and there's some interesting things.

[00:10:00] JJ: Andy Cohen had uh one big guy and watch what happens live the past week during that time, you know, about all the sharks, and he was talking about it. He had a limb, so he had a shark at the end. Oh, he lost. He lost, yeah. He had a limb, he had a limb, he lost how he does. Well, he had like a one of those like uh bionic hands. Oh, okay. Yeah, anyway. That's pretty cool. No, no, so that's what a shark would do to you. Yes.

[00:10:28] Matty: Well, here's I've got some shark facts because I like to bring a little bit of stuff. Yeah, I have a a question for you guys. How old do you think some green they're called Greenland sharks, but it's just one breed, but like they can live a long time. So but so but what do you think? How long do you think one a Greenland shark could live?

[00:10:52] Megan: 150. Yeah, I was gonna say the same.

[00:10:55] Matty: 250 up to 500. Wow. 500 years. Could you imagine? Like, what they're just like, what I've seen it all. What I don't have anywhere else to go. They also have been around longer than trees. uh huh. So trees appeared roughly 385 million years ago. Sharks have been around for 400 million years.

[00:11:18] Megan: Wow, that's crazy.

[00:11:20] Matty: And they have eight senses. Did you know that?

[00:11:24] JJ: I knew something about like they have like a more I mean they it's more than just like the um the five that we have five that we have yes, three more, JJ.

[00:11:34] Matty: There's they have three more. It's they can do water vibration, yeah, vibration, yeah. Electrical fields, and they can sense the earth's magnetic field for navigation. Yeah, it's crazy. Well, and some of them are super hyped up because this isn't you okay. I'm gonna say this we often think about how sharks uh attack people, but uh a lot of times the people are more dangerous to the sharks than the sharks are to the people. And I'll say they've done in 2025 and in 2026 two different studies. The first one in 2025 was like 13 sharks, all 13 tested positive for cocaine.

[00:12:18] Megan: Wow, that's crazy.

[00:12:20] Matty: One might ask: the cocaine sharks, right? Well, it's because um drug uh this was around Rio de Janeiro, so drug boats that were going if when they get pulled over by the Coast Guard or like you know, they shine the light because they're doing it at night, they dump all this cocaine off the side of the boats to like get it off their boat so they don't yeah.

[00:12:46] JJ: And then they pick it up after?

[00:12:47] Megan: No, no, the sharks are picking up the bottom of the ocean, yeah.

[00:12:51] Matty: Well, and then so it's getting in there in the water. And so in 2026, they did like 60-some shark study, and they tested positive for uh acetaminophen, caffeine, and cocaine as well. Yeah, so so they're drinking coffee while and then you're like snorting why are they biting me? Well, they're high as a kite.

[00:13:11] Megan: Well, that's probably why the shark bites have increased in recent years.

[00:13:15] Matty: Have they?

[00:13:15] Megan: Yes, what what is because they're on cocaine? It makes them all crazy and they're coming in, biting people more. Well, yes, they have like 2025.

[00:13:29] JJ: There were 60 good time.

[00:13:31] Megan: No, 2025, there were 65 unprovoked shark bites worldwide, according to the international shark attack file. And in 24, there was only 47. And now 2026 through the end of July, there has been about 32 attacks worldwide with eight fatalities. Only one was in the US though.

[00:13:55] JJ: So this is unprovoked, so there might be some data talking about provoked charges.

[00:14:00] Megan: Maybe. I mean, I didn't go that far, but yes, potentially.

[00:14:04] Matty: Well, have you seen some of this footage where they're using drones now? And so, like, it's always been happening. We just didn't have a way to like visually see it. There's like people are constantly swimming, and there's sharks around them, and then you can see them in the drones, and people are like on their surfboards and just swimming in the water. And most of the time, I mean, they're not after humans, typically the coked up ones are maybe the coke, maybe the maybe the coked ones are, yeah.

[00:14:33] JJ: But they're they might think that there's a seal or a penguin. That's right. That's right.

[00:14:38] Matty: A lot of times they they're attracted with one of their senses to the activity, and when they get close, most of them, when they sense it's like a human, they're like, Oh, I don't want any part of it.

[00:14:49] JJ: Yeah, because they were saying that surfers are one of the biggest that they have attempted to attack because of the board looking like a fish type of thing, plus they have like their hands out, and it's like, oh, this is uh this is lunch.

[00:15:05] Megan: Well, and they also wear those wetsuits that make shiny in black.

[00:15:08] JJ: Yeah, 100%.

[00:15:10] Matty: Well, Sharktivity is that app you said just like an app called Sharktivity, and you can, I guess I I don't know if it's like similar to when you're on one of your travel. Oh, it's like the and you can like mark an accident on the app on the highway. Oh, yeah, you can't.

[00:15:27] Megan: Oh, that's good to know. Yeah. If you're going to an ocean, yeah.

[00:15:31] Matty: shark sighting.

[00:15:32] Megan: Oh, what's that app called?

[00:15:33] Matty: Sharktivity. Sharktivity.

[00:15:35] Megan: Oh, that's a great app to have if you're going to be going in the ocean.

[00:15:39] JJ: So because I remember that Andy Cohen um on Sirius XM on Radio Andy, he was talking about like when he was like scouting a beach house, he brought in some experts to kind of tell him is this going to be like a big type of beach that sharks will come in or not? I didn't know that you can actually do that. But I mean sharks.

[00:15:59] Megan: I question the like longevity of that report.

[00:16:03] Matty: Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Do they have different hangout spots?

[00:16:08] JJ: What he said is like they're they looked at reports and like what has been going around on that area, and then they tell us like, oh yeah, there's two not only attacks, there have been two shark sightings there. He was just concerned about his kids. That's one of the things which I would do the same thing.

[00:16:27] Matty: Yeah, and the cocaine happening.

[00:16:29] JJ: Well, that's in Brazil, I thought.

[00:16:31] Matty: Well, I'm that cocaine's being shipped somewhere. Florida, it seems like there might be some activity. Yeah. I don't know.

[00:16:39] JJ: Another creature feature that I have is I don't know if you've heard about in the state of Virginia, there is what they call the famous horse migration. um, there are horses, wild horses, in in I might murder this this town, but it's called uh Chincoteague Pony Swim. Oh Chincoteague Pony Swim. Yeah. And they're trying to move is it really called Pony Town? Or you're just they call it the ponytown. Okay, that's it.

[00:17:10] Matty: It's in Virginia.

[00:17:11] JJ: It's in Virginia, yeah. And it's they're trying to move the horses, the wild horses, from Assateague to Chincoteague. Okay. Yeah, there's like more of like a Native American names, and their wild horses are still there, and they need to move them in order for obviously the population not to be, you know, kind of taking over the island. um, but it's a it's quite a site there. It's it's about it happens on one of the last weeks of July. So coming in out of that right now, about 150 wild horses, they moved them. So they are they're called the saltwater um cowboys to the firefighters that lead that. That's cool. I would love to see a calendar of those saltwater cowboys cowboys. Can you imagine?

[00:18:00] Megan: Like kind of like a southern man. So yeah.

[00:18:02] JJ: Yeah. So they will do that. um, and it's it's very interesting the way that they just move them around, they walk them through the town and then through the water. um, they specifically swim.

[00:18:14] Matty: I saw it, yeah, yeah. So they're not being led what once they get to the water, they know it's like they know what to do from the video I saw.

[00:18:20] JJ: They are also boats guiding them.

[00:18:23] Matty: Well, and also a big spectator sport now or event.

[00:18:26] JJ: It is, it is. um, so they're they're little boats as well. I mean, because they don't want them to drown actually one of the reasons why they do it on the last week of July is because the tide is calm. So there is no fatalities with the horses. They really want to conserve the horses. And uh, I mean, it's kind of all a business. Like they do an auction and people buy wild horses after that. So it become one of those things.

[00:18:52] Matty: I don't know if I like that term. Yeah. I will say one of my favorite abbreves to use, abbreviations to use. I'm gonna use it now because when I watched the video and they came out of the water, I was like, oh, that's a beautiful palomino. Oh palomino.

[00:19:08] Megan: But you know, do you know what a palomino is? Yes. What is it?

[00:19:11] Matty: They have multiple colors going on. No, oh, it's not.

[00:19:14] Megan: I knew he didn't know what palomino is.

[00:19:17] Matty: Yeah, educate us on a palomino.

[00:19:19] Megan: Palominos are like a beige-colored horse. Okay, they're not spotted.

[00:19:24] Matty: Oh, well, don't you think don't you think most people think a palomine is like multicolored?

[00:19:30] Megan: No, no, no, I've never known anyone who thought that.

[00:19:34] Matty: No, well, now you've met two.

[00:19:36] Megan: Well, I think JJ thought it because you told him that.

[00:19:40] JJ: Yeah, I do. I I was I now that it's random, but I remember the Palomino word with the movie spirit. Yes, because he is what me was talking about like beige type of like wild horse. Do you know what? But I every time I heard palomino, I think about a spotted like a cow but in a horse version. Yeah, that's a cow and a horse version is correct.

[00:20:06] Megan: That's called an Appaloosa.

[00:20:07] JJ: Appaloosa. Appaloosa. Appaloosa. I just changed it to Appaloosa.

[00:20:11] Matty: Okay, Appaloosa, I kind of like just as much as Paladin. Okay, wow.

[00:20:14] JJ: Yeah, there you go. I do too. But yeah, I I that's I mean, it has become a big touristy. I would love to see it. I would love to see it. Like I send you guys a video, yeah, and it's quite a sight, like just to see them and and and being able to uh how they guide them into it. That they call it a migration, but it's kind of a forced migration more than anything else.

[00:20:36] Matty: I I just like the concept of wild horses because most of the time you think of a horse as a domesticated uh farm animal a lot of times, and to know that there's still wild ones that run around in like herds all over. What are they called? What do you call a group of horses? I'm aware Megan is—

[00:20:53] Megan: Oh, okay.

[00:20:53] JJ: Well, Megan is a horse girl, so I like yeah, I like it.

[00:20:57] Megan: Well, because I didn't know you knew that we have lots of wild horses.

[00:21:02] Matty: And I'm saying I love them.

[00:21:03] Megan: Okay, good.

[00:21:04] Matty: Because we don't get to see them wild horses like you do a deer or a raccoon or uh squirrels or whatever.

[00:21:13] JJ: Yeah, do you remember Vieques?

[00:21:15] Matty: She is really coming for me today.

[00:21:18] Megan: When you're using words improperly.

[00:21:20] Matty: Well, that wasn't a word improperly to say wild horses.

[00:21:23] Megan: No, but Palomino was.

[00:21:24] JJ: Yeah. Matt, do you remember Vieques? The wild horses there.

[00:21:29] Matty: Yes. I do remember that. That was amazing, wasn't it?

[00:21:33] JJ: Yeah, and on one of the islands off the main island of Puerto Rico, uh, Vieques, we went there. It's like kind of like I don't think that we even saw a streetlight on this island. uh we saw a lot of mosquitoes. um but they are they are in this island, there is a lot of wild horses.

[00:21:52] Matty: And they are walking around like a neighborhood dog. Yeah. Like just in and out of people's yards. It was so weird.

[00:22:00] JJ: Like they were there was a uh family having a barbecue.

[00:22:03] Matty: A family of horses.

[00:22:04] JJ: Oh, you remember?

[00:22:05] Matty: Oh, I do remember that. Yeah, yeah. So yeah.

[00:22:08] JJ: So Virginia, that would be good. But let's just continue.

[00:22:17] Matty: Oh, raccoon. I just said something. He's been all over the news. I just said something about raccoons. Yeah.

[00:22:24] Megan: He's been everywhere around the news.

[00:22:26] JJ: Yeah. um Jimothy, it's a raccoon that has a short-spine condition. I mean, it's a it's a it's a it's very rare. They've never seen it like that. But it looks like he doesn't have a butt.

[00:22:42] Matty: It looks like when he walks, it's a whole different animal. It does, yeah.

[00:22:46] JJ: It looks like uh like an alien type of thing.

[00:22:49] Megan: If you haven't seen videos on the news recently, just type in Jimothy the raccoon in Google and you'll get all sorts of funny little videos of him.

[00:22:58] JJ: Yeah, Jimothy is short for Jim.

[00:23:01] Matty: No, it's the reverse. It is the reverse short for Jimothy. Yeah, so I think it's uh off it, the office.

[00:23:11] JJ: Yeah, it's an office reference, yeah. um, but it's it was just interesting like how now animals have become more of an influencer. Like, have you noticed that?

[00:23:21] Matty: Well, God, I mean it's something fun and but the sad thing is that they don't even know.

[00:23:26] JJ: They don't make any revenue from it.

[00:23:28] Matty: They're not they're not making any revenue. But Jimothy could have a better life. Jimothy is looking just for some peace, I think, instead of everyone trying to film as he like scampers across the yard, yeah, looking like he has no butt in Seattle.

[00:23:42] JJ: He's in Seattle, yeah. He's in Seattle, yeah. And they were actually, you know, some scientists, when they actually saw some clips, they were trying to figure it out what was actually happening with Jimothy because he actually showed up for the first time on the beginning, like July 13th, and they saw they well, as soon as they saw it, it's like, oh, maybe he's gonna die, then we're gonna see him again. Well, he was seen last week, so he's still going around, going into your trash can, yeah, trying to get his time.

[00:24:10] Megan: I'm sure people are like not a fan of Jimothy in the Seattle area.

[00:24:14] Matty: Oh, I don't know. Now he's a local celeb.

[00:24:16] Megan: Yeah, but we're just dumping your trash over all the time. You're probably not happy about him.

[00:24:21] Matty: Yeah, it's fair, but they probably feel like Jimmy needs some special attention.

[00:24:25] Megan: Well, we had a little bit of a scuffle around town here. I don't know if anyone saw it on the news.

[00:24:33] Matty: Is scruffle a word?

[00:24:35] Megan: Maybe. Oh, she just made it. She just made it well. A made-up word is different than calling something that it isn't.

[00:24:42] JJ: Oh god, there we go.

[00:24:44] Megan: So touche.

[00:24:45] JJ: This is it.

[00:24:46] Megan: um anyway, there was a rogue black squirrel who ran onto the field at Comerica Park during the Tigers and Orioles game. And basically it became craziness. He came out in the sixth inning and was there all the way until the seventh inning stretch. So basically, broadcasters, everyone kept commenting about him. And during the seventh inning stretch, uh 10 uh grounds crew came out along with PAWS, the tigers mascot, and they were all trying to catch the squirrel. That's the name of the mascot, pause, yeah.

[00:25:22] JJ: First time I hear that.

[00:25:23] Matty: I think we need to pause as in P A U S E because I never saw Paws running around the field trying to get this well.

[00:25:30] Megan: Well, I that's what Chat GPT said. Oh Jesus.

[00:25:34] Matty: Well, I did you check that video? I don't maybe I missed it, but I don't know if it's well and what you see this.

[00:25:40] Megan: At one point, the Orioles outfielder, Leody Taveras, accidentally had the squirrel jump into his mitt and he had him, and then he the squirrel jumped out again. Oh, so eventually what happened? The grounds crew came out with a bunch of towels and kept trying to jump and catch him with these towels. And every time he kind of escaped, the crowd was like cheering and going crazy. Eventually, he did get caught in a towel by one of the grounds crew, and the whole crowd booed.

[00:26:15] JJ: Do you remember booed?

[00:26:16] Megan: They everyone he was the highlight. Because they were like they kind of were enjoying the city. And then it was like free the squirrel. Now we gotta go back to baseball.

[00:26:25] JJ: Yeah, Matty. Do you remember that the first time your dad saw a black squirrel on your backyard?

[00:26:30] Matty: I know.

[00:26:31] JJ: I think that probably we talked about this before, but I don't know if we can. I just remember that he was shocked. Yeah, he was like, What? You have a black squirrel? In Grand Rapids, we don't have black squirrels.

[00:26:42] Matty: They do now, though.

[00:26:43] Megan: I've seen them all over.

[00:26:44] Matty: They've migrated. Yeah, but he had not ever seen a black squirrel and he saw one in my backyard. He was so sweet.

[00:26:55] Matty: It was true. I wonder how that squirrel got into Comerica Park because it's kind of open. We got squirrels everywhere. Yeah, but you can't just hop over, like no, he probably ran in when people were walking in.

[00:27:13] JJ: Well, he should have turned around. Yeah, probably. But he was just thinking about that. And they can climb in and do things, you know, it's fine. It's another squirrel. Do you know what a marmot is? Marmot. Yeah, I think so.

[00:27:53] Matty: That they just do like a little Jessica! I love it when they did that and they put like human voices in the animals. Marmot Marmots are having a moment as well. Have you uh uh OnlyMarms? Only marms so yes, so again, my OnlyMarms are having a moment. Oh, my go-to today show was doing feature. No, this was not one of the main broadcasters, but they were there's there's the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Colorado, so it's the RMBL Marmot Project. There is a particular um marmot that lives in that area called the yellow-bellied marmot, and that's a type of marmot. Yeah, like in Michigan, we have like woodchucks, which is a marmot. Yeah, and I so they have different kinds of marmots. So this marmot that because of cuts in federal government funding, they've seen a decrease in the marmot population and to protect these marmots. And so are they extinct? No. Oh, okay. No, no, they're talking about all over OnlyFans. Okay, JJ, they're all over OnlyFans. So they were doing, they're like, okay, with less funding from the government, what can we let's do a fundraising plan? And they came, and so he, this professor was hit with his group of students, were like, why don't we start an OnlyFans? And one of the girls in the class is like, let's call it OnlyMarms, and so they have an OnlyMarms account on or yeah, an OnlyFans account, and it's I just called OnlyFans and the OnlyFans. They have 1.7 thousand likes, but they've only raised like $4,000 so far. I thought for sure after something like that.

And so the characters were carrying it around because it was so popular in the 90s. um, and so it became one of the show's most talked-about beauty projects. uh products, sorry, not projects. It's like I might be looking into like some controling for men situation because like my my skin color is different. Like I just try to figure it out what you really want. And sometimes now that we're just like here on a camera, you have to just perceive yourself. Just a little bit. I do like so that I like that.

[00:36:53] Megan: And in that, in this way, this is kind of a unisex sex product because it isn't really putting a lot of color in, it's kind of just giving you like enhancement of your natural color.

And pull it outs are those everyday annoyances and things that just can't make us like derail our day in no way. So I will say I have a Slip It In, and I think it'll be kind of surprising. It is the Secretary of State. So in Michigan, that's where we go to get our driver's license.

[00:37:57] Matty: uh I think everyone goes to the Secretary of State.

[00:38:00] Megan: I don't some states call it something different. It might not be. Do they? Yes.

[00:38:04] Matty: What? I don't know about that.

[00:38:06] Megan: The DMV is what it's called. uh, Department of Motor Vehicles in California. All right. So you would go to the DMV there as opposed to the Secretary of State. So I'm just making it for our listeners who are not in the state of Michigan. Secretary of State is your DMV. Anyway, you can. I had to get a new license, as our listeners know. I was been prepping for my new picture on my link.

[00:38:32] JJ: If we were a brunch right now, somebody would have said, like, what the fuck is happening with this?

[00:38:36] Matty: Well, I think they would have tuned out.

[00:38:38] Megan: No, but here's the point. Tell us. It is my Slip It In. I was just kind of dreading having to go get this new license and waiting for hours. Well, I'll tell you, I made an appointment. I showed up. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I got multiple pictures taken. I was able to pick which one I wanted. It was a great experience. I left really thrilled and happy.

[00:39:02] Matty: So well, as you know, I had to do the same thing a couple weeks before you went, and I had the same exact great. Yeah, so I was mind-boggling like how different it is. Absolutely. And there was not like you know, it used to be you'd go in and there'd be 50 people packed in on these chairs, not anymore, waiting, and they'd have a ticket, and you'd be like, pull ticket, and you're like, oh, I pulled 75, and they're like, they're on number 14.

[00:39:29] Megan: Yeah, it was those days are done.

[00:39:30] JJ: Yeah. And I gotta say, Megan, that picture, you look stunning.

[00:39:34] Megan: Oh, thank you. Yes, I'm very happy with my picture. It like I said, it was a hundred-percent great experience.

[00:39:41] Matty: Well, love that your trips to Canada paid off for the photo.

[00:39:49] Megan: I do have a pull it out. And this is a pull it out I haven't experienced yet, but it's a pull it out that's coming on August 7th.

[00:39:58] Matty: And I it's a premature pull.

[00:40:01] Megan: Because I think it's stupid. So apparently, Dunkin' Donuts is coming out with something called Dunkin' Buckets. And they're basically a 48-ounce reusable bucket with a handle. And apparently they tested this, these buckets in uh New England, and it went viral on TikTok and they sold out immediately. So you ordered this 48-ounce bucket filled with iced coffee or a Dunkin' refresher. You can customize it with any flavors, creams you want. And people seem to love it. But then they complained it didn't fit in their cup holders, obviously, because it's a bucket. So now Dunkin' has come out with a bucket holder. So it will fit in your cup holder, but hold this bucket. But it seems stupid to me because it's not even a good deal. In some markets, the 48 ounces, you could just buy two medium iced coffees or one and a half large iced coffees, and it's cheaper than what you pay for the bucket. So I just think it's silly.

[00:41:03] JJ: I actually think, and I might be wrong, but I actually think that this came up as part of the show on brand.

[00:41:10] Megan: Oh, did it?

[00:41:11] JJ: I think I think that that was one of the challenges.

[00:41:14] Megan: I remember there was a Dunkin' one, but I don't remember what it was.

[00:41:17] JJ: I'm thinking about like now that you the more you're talking about it, it's like I feel that that was one of the challenges. Creating this or designing the bucket, something like some, and I don't know. At that time, it's in I think that at that time the bucket was not for a liquid, but for donuts.

[00:41:35] Matty: Oh, okay.

[00:41:36] JJ: I don't know. I mean, I might be wrong.

[00:41:38] Matty: No, you're I remember something too, because they each had I'm so sad that that show was viral project. But I think buckets are having a moment because popcorn buckets are like going crazy.

[00:41:50] JJ: Big, yeah, they've been for a while, yeah. Like every movie has a collector edition crazy $50 for a bucket, yeah.

[00:41:58] Matty: And people are buying them.

[00:41:59] Megan: Well, for the Michael movie, they had not buckets, but fedoras that you got popcorn. Oh, really? They were really cute.

[00:42:06] JJ: Oh, so do you approve that?

[00:42:07] Megan: uh well, of course. It's a Michael product, it's a fedora. There's a reason for it. uh, just a random bucket of coffee that costs more than regular coffee. It seems silly. I don't know.

[00:42:17] Matty: It's but I mean, if they're fine off the shelf and people are fine off the shelf.

[00:42:21] Megan: Let me tell you, Slippers, if you get a bucket, if you get a bucket and we love it, I want to hear about it.

[00:42:29] JJ: My Slip It In is something that um I didn't rem I mean, I I forgot that I missed it. It's like Ariana Grande just dropped her new album, Petal. But one thing that she did, I'm and I'm not talking about just the album, which is great. um one thing that she did is that she dropped her single probably two um three three probably a month ago, and she just left it as that. That is a Slip It In for me. I miss the days that we just had the single and then we wait for the album to come. I think nowadays we just bring in the artists are like now dropping a single, and then the next week they drop another song, and at the end of the day, when the album comes in, you know all the songs. I like the surprise moment. And Ariana Grande did that. She just dropped the single, she knew people are waiting for her to drop the full album, and she just waited until the last moment, and she, this is the album. And I think that I I loved it so much. I because I'm like, oh, I only know one song, and it's just because she only dropped a single.

[00:43:37] Matty: So she did one song and then the full album, and that's what you're a fan of versus three songs before three sometimes.

[00:43:45] JJ: Yeah, and they do like a full now, they full they do a full EP, and then you're like, but I already this is not like a new album to me.

[00:43:53] Matty: Do you know what I hate that's adjacent to this? Is when they drop an album and I like vinyl, so sometimes I'll buy it and And then a few weeks later or whatever, they come out with a new edition of it with uh like two extra songs on it. And I'm like, Jesus, I'm like, really? Yeah, I've already bought it. Now you're gonna do a bonus track. Like just lead just whatever you got, but it's all marketing.

[00:44:16] JJ: Yeah, but Ariana Grande, you did it right. I I it's like one of those things like I didn't even know how much I liked it until it happened. So I really like that.

[00:44:32] JJ: I liked such certain songs. I sometimes don't like the full album, but I like the majority of it.

[00:45:07] JJ: My first Slip It In. Wow. yeah, because I had a hard time trying to figure it out is this a Slip It In or a pull out? And this might be interesting because I do have a very good bowel movement. Oh Lord. Wow. That's not a general? In general, you're regular, I'm very regular. I know exactly the times that that's gonna happen.

[00:45:31] JJ: The problem that I've been having lately is that it aligns with my morning, like my morning routine. So there is, I'm so regular that sometimes I have to get out of my bed when I want to slip in because I knew I do need to go to the bathroom. Even sometimes before my alarm clock. I can I cannot just leave it in.

[00:45:56] Megan: It sounds like a pull it out, in my opinion.

[00:45:59] Matty: I in a way, I have to stop. What you're saying you had to get out of bed to poop, and that bothers you. I didn't say it was poop, but now he's that's what a bowel movement is, my friend.

[00:46:13] JJ: Well, I wanted to how we started, yeah. You said bowel movement. So sometimes I might be waking up in a Sunday or a Saturday at 7:30 a.m. to poop.

[00:46:28] JJ: I yeah, but I but also having a regular bowel movement is a good thing.

[00:46:33] Megan: Not if it requires you to stop what you're doing at certain times. I'm not doing anything. Every bowel movement requires to have you stop what you're doing. Well, but if I'm not doing much, it's no big deal. But if I'm in bed sleeping, it becomes a big deal to get it.

[00:46:48] JJ: Yeah, but I was researching. It's like if oh, you were researching. Yes, because I'm like, this is all right. But if your bowel movement is taking you to like because I do mornings and afternoons every time, that's a good sign.

[00:47:02] Matty: You know what a doctor told me to do, like, because I wasn't necessarily as regular. uh, it's like train yourself. You can train yourself in whether you have to go or not. Like, if you want to move your seven bowel movement to 9 a.m., you just start sitting on the toilet every morning and a half. Yeah, but that's what causes hemorrhoids.

[00:47:22] Megan: Correct. You're not supposed to sit on toilet and push it.

[00:47:24] Matty: Don't push it. No, you just sit on there to let your body know, like this is the time I'd like to go.

[00:47:29] Megan: But a lot of doctors say, don't sit for a long time.

[00:47:32] Matty: I'm not saying I'm there for an hour. I'm just checking in. I didn't think this is why it's a living.

[00:47:38] JJ: I'm not sure yet. I'm not sure yet. But I thought this has to be so if you're listening in EV of a if you're still listening, meaning you didn't just shut off. If you're eavedropping for like two tables down uh on this brunch, JJ's very regular. That's my takeaway. Yes. Matty.

[00:48:00] Matty: I had um, it's funny that you said you had to leave it in because I have this one that I'm gonna shut it. My first one that I was gonna be leave it in, but I made a decision and I moved it to Slip It In because I was laughing when it happened. I la I was chuckling walking out of CVS at what happened in my experience there when I went to pick up um uh a prescription. So here's what happens. So I'm next in line. The lady at like says to, you know, do whatever you need to do on the screen, you know, let's screens that pull up for your prescription stuff. And then she goes, and I'll need to see your license. So I put the license on the counter in front of me, and she didn't see me do that. So then she comes back and she's like, Oh, sir, I'm gonna need your license. I didn't say a word to her, I just pointed at the license and then she got it. She picked it up, and then she asked me a question um, like, do you need to talk to a uh pharmacist? And I'm like, Is that a no? She goes, Is that a no? Did you forget how to talk today, sir?

[00:49:07] Megan: Oh, wow, what a speech problem.

[00:49:09] Matty: I know she said it kind of in a funny way, like in that moment, it made me like because I for I pointed to the license. Oh and so I didn't say, Oh, here's the license. I just I didn't say anything when I gave it. Then when she asked where it was, I pointed to it, and then I shook my head.

[00:49:25] JJ: You were just not in a mood.

[00:49:26] Matty: But did you forget how to talk today?

[00:49:28] JJ: That seems like so. Explain to you, explain to me, and probably some for some people that are listening. Why do you think that to Slip It In and not a pull it out?

[00:49:39] Matty: I I think the way I you're hearing it does make it seem like she was being judgy. Yeah, but it was kind of like a moment where she was kind of smiling and she realized I could speak, but I just wasn't using my words. And the way she said it, I laughed in the moment, and then I laughed at myself walking out. Like, she's kind of right. I just wasn't talking. [00:51:46] Matty: JJ, I have an update for you. So um Pins and Eats. Pins and Needs. So on brand, they did a the contestants were divided into teams to develop a marketable Dunkin' breakfast concept, and the winning one created a lunch pail. Oh, it was a lunch pail—very adjacent to the bucket.

[00:52:09] JJ: You are coming from the marketing background, you know, that some shows like that, they're like, let's just do this, see what they come up with. And eventually, two years later, there's like, it's not a pill, but a bucket. Yeah. So it's it transpired into it, right? Like it's just like that's the way it goes into those rooms. And they're like, okay, let's just continue to do this.

[00:52:28] Megan: Well, August 7th, go get your Dunkin' bucket.

[00:52:32] JJ: Yeah, yeah. We're gonna we're gonna have a bucket here.

[00:52:34] Matty: I'm gonna do it. Oh, we have to bucket. Yeah, we should get a bucket.

[00:52:38] JJ: It's like a sand. We're gonna like a fish bowl, but a bucket.

[00:52:44] Megan: I don't know.

[00:52:45] JJ: Yeah, I'm in.
