Welcome, welcome, welcome, everyone. We're back, slipping it in with you, bringing you the unhinged brunch conversation about anything and nothing all at the same time. But for some reason, you just can't stop listening to it. I'm Megan and I'm here with Matty and JJ. Hello, hello again. Hello, hello. So, guys, let me ask you this. I've had like a questionable situation happen to me in the last few days. So I'm I'm kind of curious on your take of like what would you do? So I was at a light sitting in my car, and I noticed a liability. Well, yes. I look over and there's a man next to me, and he's got his window down, and he's actually like eating an apple. So I'm like, well, that's interesting. Well, then I noticed as I'm looking at him eating this apple that he has like blood running down, a big thing of blood running down the side of his face.

Matty [01:41]
So I was really, it was like from his ear, like uh coming out of his ear or side I it was either behind his ear or coming out of his ear.

Megan [01:50]
I couldn't quite tell, but it went way down on his neck.

JJ [01:53]
Uh-huh. Okay. And I it was just like a drip.

Megan [01:55]
Well, like a big red line with like a little like almost bubble at the end of blood. I almost rolled down my window to say, sir, just so you know you've got blood all on your neck. I debated it and I didn't.

Matty [02:12]
Okay.

Would you have?

Matty [02:15]
I thought you were gonna be like, and then he died.

I don't know. I I probably would have done what you did. Like, I should let this man know that he's about to get blood on his apple.

Megan [02:29]
Oh, I don't know if it was gonna drip on his apple. I glance I looked, I honestly felt like at first I thought it was all like active real blood, but I'm like, maybe it could be like dried. I couldn't quite tell.

JJ [02:44]
Are you sure it was blood?

Megan [02:45]
Oh, 100%. Like it couldn't have been anything else.

JJ [02:49]
Okay. I mean, I probably would have said something.

Megan [02:52]
Okay.

Matty [02:52]
What if? I mean, there's people out there that do things intentionally to try to get reaction. Attention. Do you think because wouldn't you feel it? I feel like you would feel it if it was running down your whole side of your face.

Megan [03:06]
Yeah, I mean, it was like from his ear to like down to his neck, like halfway down. Yes.

JJ [03:12]
Oh, his window was open.

Megan [03:13]
Yeah, which is why I contemplated rolling down mine to yell at him to say, hey, sir, like you've got blood on your face running down your neck.

JJ [03:22]
I mean, he was driving, I'm sure they was going to be fine. I mean, it could have been like one of those like he probably freshly shaved and I wondered. Cut. Yeah.

Matty [03:33]
I will say though, if you have blood coming out of your ear, there is a serious situation.

Megan [03:38]
Well, and I couldn't tell. I was trying to see, is it from the ear or is it right behind the ear? And I couldn't tell, but it was in that vicinity where it could almost have been from either place. You know, I was too far to really see. Is it really at the ear or is it just right behind the ear?

Matty [03:53]
It could have been a John Kehonis moment. Like, what's that? What would you do? Yeah, where there's hidden cameras and they pull you over like a minute later and be like, ma'am, you clearly saw this man was bleeding from the head. Well, why would you not say something to him?

Megan [04:07]
Well, let me ask you this. Does your your opinion change if you are the first both of us were the first two cars at the light in the two lanes, and there's a protest going around us?

Matty [04:23]
Wait, this went away I didn't anticipate.

Megan [04:26]
So there was a protest going on at the same time. So every corner of this stoplight that we were at, we were both in the front, but then every corner are people with signs like anti-ICE, like um vote, you need to vote, etc. type signs. I don't think that doesn't change your opinion.

JJ [04:52]
Unless he got into something. And that's why he was like running out.

Matty [04:57]
Well, now we're really surmise it.

Megan [04:59]
Well, okay.

Well, at first when she's like, that's why I asked if it was really blood, because I immediately went into like, remember that when Rudy Giuliani had his like dye going down?

Megan [05:08]
Yeah, no, this was blood. It was redhead. So it's like make oh yeah, hair dye. He was hair dying. And I'm like, if he was a redhead, no, maybe he was a gray-haired man. That's Runch, but yeah. He was a gray-haired man happily eating an apple, and then he switched to maybe some type of granola or something. Wow, it's really like you were really. Hence, they pick this intersection to do these protests like once a month.

Matty [05:36]
Maybe he cut himself with all the food prep going on in the car. All right.

Megan [05:41]
Well, let me ask you this. Oh, you get another one. Yeah. Let me ask you this.

Matty [05:46]

Megan [05:47]
Yes. Does it change your opinion if you have a police car right behind you?

JJ [05:51]
Wow, you had a lot going on in this.

Megan [05:53]
It was.

JJ [05:54]
They not led the police man doing it.

Megan [05:56]
Well, the police was the car behind me, so he might not see the blood on this man's face.

JJ [06:00]
So if something would have happened after the fact, then the police would I was I was mining my P's and Q's.

Megan [06:08]
When there's a police officer behind me, I also like immediately go into I am.

JJ [06:13]
You gotta go to 25 miles per hour.

Megan [06:16]
Letter of the law. I'm like my I'm keeping my shit together.

Matty [06:19]
You can't worry about somebody else.

Megan [06:21]
Well, and I'm like, what's this police officer gonna do if he sees that I'm engaging with this man? Like, is that gonna call call attention to me? Do I not do I want that attention? How long has he been following me? Like, I didn't know.

Matty [06:34]
You're right. It was a long life. It was a long life. All right. Are we done, or do we have a woman pushing a child in a stroller going in front of him?

Megan [06:44]
We're done with that scenario. But then immediately I took a left turn and the police literally or figuratively. Oh, the police literally, and the police officer followed me. Oh, and then I took a right turn, he followed me again.

Matty [06:59]
Well, if he was behind you and you were in the left turn lane, that shouldn't have been a surprise.

Megan [07:04]
It wasn't. It wasn't. But then when I took my right, he followed me, and I'm like, ooh.

JJ [07:08]
This is happening.

Megan [07:10]
Is he coming after me?

JJ [07:12]
Right.

Megan [07:12]
And and then I took another right into a Kroger parking lot.

JJ [07:18]
Mm-hmm.

Megan [07:19]
And I he didn't follow me, think of it. I mean, sometimes I have heard if they follow you for three lights or three turns and then pull you over, you can make a case that they were like stalking you.

Matty [07:32]
Stalking.

Megan [07:33]
I don't know if that's true. I don't know if stalking, but like that they were like trying to do it.

Matty [07:37]
Waiting for you to make anything.

Megan [07:40]
I don't know if that's true or not. But he thank god didn't follow me to the Kroger parking lot.

Matty [07:44]
That's usually my lane to be throwing things out that aren't necessarily true.

Megan [07:52]
parking lot. Oh rush to leave.

Matty [07:54]

Megan [07:55]
Yeah. I was rushing to leave. I go to back out.

Matty [08:00]
So you actually did have to go into Kroger or I wasn't just avoiding the parking lot. Well, I thought that might have been a sometimes I have to just to see like where they follow me, or I if I'm gonna park, then they'll be on their way.

Megan [08:11]
Yeah, I kind of like to get them off my tail whenever I can. So I was happy he didn't continue to follow me. But anyway, I was leaving Kroger. I back out and my car's like beep, beep, beep, beep.

JJ [08:23]
So there's a pile of your car does a beep beep, like the trucks, beep. If there's something that detects I was just thinking, you know what it's like.

Megan [08:33]
There was a big line and I didn't know. There was a like a bunch of shopping carts behind me.

JJ [08:40]
Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Megan [08:41]
I'm like, are you kidding me? Then workers nowhere to be found. So do you sit there and wait for the m worker to come from the corral, or do you get out and push those cars? Okay, that's what I did. But I mean, there were like six carts, they were all pushed together. Like the that's a big thing. But the worker was in a corral like a way. Like they could and they weren't trying to like they were out collecting them. Yeah, but they weren't like, oh sorry, let me move them. They were basically just sitting there, like, oh sorry. And just sitting there. And I'm like, I I can't with you. I gotta get going.

JJ [09:17]
That's borderline.

Megan [09:19]
But you just said you would move them.

JJ [09:21]
Well, I would move them. Yeah, I will move them, but that's borderline. You wanted them to move it for you.

Megan [09:27]
No, I wasn't, I was just like, I I think they were expecting I would sit there and wait.

Matty [09:34]
unknown: Okay. But I got out and moved them. No. I'm not sure.

Megan [09:37]
They didn't try to make any effort to move them.

Matty [09:40]
Yeah. Well, that sounds gen Z.

Megan [09:42]
They kind of were Gen Z.

Matty [09:43]
Mm-hmm.

Yeah. They're not like lady, calm down.

Matty [09:47]
We're not in a big hurry over this.

That's how it kind of was. They were in the back of a corral and they're like, oh.

JJ [09:52]
We'll get it to we'll move them. Yeah. I mean, I just don't even think about it. I mean, sometimes I just feel bad with those that are collecting the carts.

Matty [10:01]
So I'm like, I don't feel bad for them. They got the job.

Megan [10:04]
Well, I don't think I helped them when I pushed the carts away.

Matty [10:08]
It this is riveting as this is, there's some other bigger things going on around the world that I would like to get into.

Megan [10:15]
I agree.

Matty [10:16]
Or is your day not done?

Megan [10:18]
No, it's done. I'm glad you supported me in all my actions. So I feel good. I sometimes like to check myself, am I being a Karen? And I'm happy to hear I'm not.

JJ [10:28]
This is why I said this borderline.

Megan [10:30]
Well, you would do the same. You just said it.

JJ [10:32]
I know you're just said I would move it.

Megan [10:35]
Yeah, and I moved it.

Matty [10:36]
Okay. If she would have rolled down her window and said, Hey Jen Zier, can you pick up this?

Megan [10:43]
No communication was given.

Matty [10:44]
Then you're fine. You're not in cars.

Megan [10:46]
No comments. I just got out and moved.

Matty [10:49]
And hopped back in my car. In my opinion, you're not in Karen territory in that move. Perfect. That's all I wanted. I just maybe.

Megan [10:57]
Well, then you are in Karen territory too. And that may be.

Can we go into Celine territory? Yes, I'm ready for it. Let's move over to Celine. I'm gonna say this. Celine Dion is back in my orbit and Matty's orbit. She is coming back. And I have to say, I don't know what my relationship with her has been over the years. I can appreciate her vocal talent. She has some amazing songs. Sometimes throughout her career, I was just a little like you found her annoying. I was just gonna say, sometimes through the years, I found her a little to be a little annoying. I think since René, was that her husband? Yeah, yeah. Since this is no dig on René, but since she has lived as a single single lady. So wait up. She has just, I think I've seen more of her personality. And I was blown away when she performed at the Olympics, and I knew a little bit about her health things, but okay, so here's what's happening. This caught my attention, and it's made me kind of look into her a little bit more. And it is this uh it's going viral. There are these moments, so she's starting a new she's doing it uh, I guess the equivalent of like a residency, but it's in Paris, adjacent to Paris, France. I love it. And she is doing um 12 sorry, 16, 16 concerts on September 12th. On September 12th through October 17th. Okay. She is performing at uh this uh what's the name of it? It's the Plénitude Arena in Nanterre, which is just outside of Paris. So what has happened is she had to go to and from rehearsals. And one of the times when she went, her fans found out what hotel she was staying at, which is the Le Royal Monceau. I'm sorry if I got that pronunciation wrong. It's part of the Raffles Hotel brand, and it's near the Arc de Triomphe. And she was going to rehearsals, and the fans had found her where she was staying, and they caught her just as she was going in to get into the car. But she isn't, she really is. I find it authentic that she is in love with her fans. She loves her fans.

Megan [13:15]
She's always been very like open with fans, and I agree. I feel like René tried to hold her back from the case. I didn't say that. I didn't know.

Matty [13:25]
Don't agree with something I didn't say. No. Don't put words in my mouth. You did not say it.

Megan [13:31]
She was more constrained when René was alive, I feel like.

Matty [13:34]
Okay. Those are your words.

Megan [13:36]
Well, maybe because she he was an older man who managed her and married her and kept her like a little bit. Now we're in Karen's oratory. Now we're getting into Karen's territory.

Matty [13:46]
Now we're tiptoeing.

Megan [13:47]
All right. I walk it all back.

Matty [13:48]
Now we're tiptoeing Karen's. All right, Karen. All right. So anyway, she started. I don't know who started, whether it was the fans or her, but music started. And they are she's singing, the fans are singing, and then she was doing a little dance, a little jig. Oh, that's cool. And that has now turned into as she comes and goes, I've seen three or four different videos of this engagement that happened. She's either on her way to rehearsals or on her way back. And I just, it's just very cool, especially. So cool, yeah. Do you guys love it? Do you guys are you familiar with like what this she had SPS? It's like stiff person syndrome.

JJ [14:29]
Yes, 100%. Did you guys watch the documentary?

Megan [14:32]
I didn't, but I'm very curious.

JJ [14:34]
It was gut-wrenching. Um me, like, like man, there were some times that I've been like annoyed by her, uh, because it just seems too like over the top, but just seems so weak and vulnerable in moments that she I mean it it just she cannot control that. And she it I mean you could tell that she's literally in pain, like in a lot of pain. Like intense excruciating pain. Yeah. Yeah.

Matty [15:02]
And what's uh crazy is like she's one of the most talented vocalists of our time, and yet she happens to get this condition or disease or whatever you want to label it that attacks like your vocal cords. I mean, it's your whole body, but also paralyzes it in a sense for temporary periods of time, like your vocal cords as well. So it's almost like the greatest gift she was born with is kind of like being taken away from her in in doses. Like you know what I mean? And and she's but she's not taking it laying down. No, she's going, she went through rehab, all of these things.

JJ [15:42]
That's the thing, like even on the documentary, and you can, you know, I would encourage you to watch it. I mean, even though it's like very sad to see it with an HBO Max. Um there's been times that she is doing like recovery and therapy and all that, and she tries to go back and saying again, but b her muscles it then they're not doing it because they're just stiff and like she cannot really control when it happens. So it's it's it's very hard on her. And she to your point, she's thinking about the fans and what they're gonna think about and like what's what you know what what could be the best thing for her. So it's it's hard.

Matty [16:23]
I heard her say something to the sense of like I owe my life to my fans. And so I think she's just forever indebted and grateful, and I think it's amazing. I I would be a little I and she is a little anxious and nervous because to your point, JJ, she can't control it, and it can come on suddenly. You don't really have like it's not like a I think I feel a headache coming on kind of situation. It can just happen, it can be triggered by things that I would think could be associated with performing in a concert venue, which is like a sudden loud noise or intense stress or like something that's you know scares you suddenly or whatever, like that could go wrong on the set. So obviously, wish her the best. Um, I will say one more thing is that she is helping bring back this trend of wearing. I almost talked about this before, but she was not on these comings and goings, but within a week's period of time, she was also photographed with a some sort of dress over jeans, which is apparently a female trend that you used to see on the Disney red carpet. The little kids do the Disney. They would do like this. Selena Gomez used to wear it.

Yeah, it was big in the 90s, I feel like.

Matty [17:37]
But now it's yeah, but there's things coming back with a more sophisticated way. You can you can Google it in style covered it. There was like several women that were different ways of pairing them.

JJ [17:49]
Yeah.

Matty [17:50]
Megan, I want to see it with one of your tennis skirts or like just flare it over. Would you do it?

Megan [17:56]
Maybe we'll have to see. I'll have to look at my outfits. Well, no, I was gonna comment because I had when I heard about the stiff person syndrome, I'm like, this is crazy. And I researched it, and going to your point of like how she's gonna be touring and or not touring, but doing this so-called residency, that um it could be triggering. But I think about like, I think for some performers, like Michael Jackson would say his happiest, most comfortable, favorite place in the world was to be on stage, and he never felt more comfortable and at like um peace with himself than when he was on stage. So she might be that way as well. And another interesting thing that was triggering for me.

Can I say something on that real quick related to that? Yeah. Have you seen how people that just cannot not stutter?

Megan [18:49]
Yes.

Matty [18:49]
Yeah, and singing as well, like for whatever reason. So that made me think of that. Obviously, not the same, but a Jaysa, if you uh put a microphone in their hand, they can sing like they are Pavarotti.

Megan [19:01]
Well, what's interesting is that I also took note when I was looking up the stiff person syndrome, is that it is frequently occurring alongside autoimmune disorders like type 1 diabetes, thyroiditis, and vitiligo. And Michael had vitiligo. And what's also interesting, not as maybe as much of a megastar as Celine Dion or Michael Jackson, but Bret Michaels had type 1 diabetes.

JJ [19:31]
Oh, he did.

Megan [19:32]
Yeah. What was his lead singer? Poison.

JJ [19:35]
Yeah. Yeah. He had a reality show.

Megan [19:38]
Yeah, I know. That's how I know most like he was on the reality show. That's how I know he has diabetes because he would talk about it a lot.

Matty [19:44]
But I missed the connection. The diabetes is related in the same category as stiff person syndrome.

Megan [19:52]
Stiff person syndrome.

Matty [19:53]
Because I think a lot of people, diabetes is much more common.

Megan [19:57]
No, but it's just saying a lot of people who have stiff person syndrome, it occurs alongside other autoimmune disorders like type 1 diabetes, thyroiditis, and vitiligo. And I'm just commenting, like interesting, these very well-known and or professional musicians, singers have now a correlation between some of these autoimmune disorders having amazing voices.

JJ [20:26]
And well, they're people just like us. Kind of reminded me too of like Jolanda Hadid's Lyme disease that she's like. Selena Gomez.

Megan [20:38]
I mean, yeah, Selena Gomez has lupus.

JJ [20:40]
And it's like one of the things that Celine, they were talking about it on this documentary, is that it kind of goes and comes and goes too. So I'm really hoping and rooting for her that it doesn't happen like I've I mean, she has worked so hard to be able to get to the stage that she wants to go back home. That's her home.

Megan [20:59]
Yeah.

JJ [20:59]
So I hope, yeah, we're wishing that it goes well. Since we're talking about some stories uh today, I don't know if any of you probably did uh watched the news of this uh real estate agent from Arizona that was flying from Dallas to New York. And he just happened to not be in a such a good mood that day. And he was um doing some slur slurring, homophobic and racist once. So he got he got very aggressive. And the passengers alongside the flight attendants took the matter on their own hands. And right, what they did duct tape that comes.

Megan [21:43]
Yes, and the pictures of him being duct taped are crazy. Like he is so duct taped off, and they like he had the um zipper ties on his hands, and then they duct taped around his his hands as well. Like he can get out of zipper.

Matty [21:57]
It looked like a college hazing that happened. It did. But it cracks me up that there's like, well, now that we've got them all duct taped, everyone stand back. Get your photos. Get your photos. Yes.

Megan [22:09]
I bet they were a little more like sneaking of the pictures. Or not or not.

JJ [22:14]
I mean, like I'm so glad that now, like, you know, passengers can also like go in and do it. I mean, listen, after I think the Megan News said it right. Like, after 9-11, people are like just like, listen, I'm not gonna go down. We're gonna go down together. Yeah. Right. You're gonna figure it out.

Matty [22:35]
Man that's can't hold his liquor. Was he drunk? I don't know.

Megan [22:39]
Well, no one knows. I don't know about the biggest.

Matty [22:40]
Nobody likes it. I'm not gonna let him take us down.

JJ [22:43]
According to the story, he really even when duct tape, he did not stop screaming and yelling. He he bit some people too. Yeah, I heard that he did.

Megan [22:53]
There was some like bite or something.

JJ [22:54]
So they had to div divert the plane. He was going to New York, they had to divert the plane to Baltimore, and the police was waiting for him.

Matty [23:03]
unknown: Right? Just took a minute to get him behind.

JJ [23:07]
I was gonna say, so because duct tape, you know, I'm sure they sliced them with like razor blades to slice the duct tape to get it. Also, also, while I was going to the story, I was like, a plane that has duct tape ready to go. Well, probably all the time. Is that a good sign? Oh, I think they all do.

Matty [23:23]
Wasn't there some caution tape though, too? Was it or was it all? That was the story on the TMC side.

JJ [23:30]
CMC did that. That was not on the sign of the story, Matty.

Matty [23:36]
I don't know if you know the answer, Amigan, but I'm gonna put attorney. Yeah. I believe that there is legislation in place now that if on an airplane somebody is perceived as threatening the safety in this contained uh space, being an airplane, which obviously comes with potential disastrous outcomes, you can take action against one unruly passenger with the knowing that you won't be held criminally responsible like for using force or something of that kind of think that's true, but I think also you would maybe need to have the flight attendants like authorize it or support it or help or say they want help. You just can't go around saying this guy was annoying.

Megan [24:29]
Yeah, and duct tape them off with your own duct tape. I think it's more like the flight attendants go and are addressing the situation. Can we have some help here? I think that you're like free and clean.

JJ [24:41]
The moment that the flight attendants are like, we're gonna ductate this guy. I would be like, Would you like we're up? Oh my god, I'll be over.

Megan [24:51]
Well, I do know whenever we're all over today ever since 9-11.

JJ [24:55]
Do you want me to cut it in pieces?

Megan [24:57]
Whenever I get on a plane, I always look around. One to see if I can figure out is there a federal air marshal on board? Because I try to always identify them. And then two, I look around for some big burly guys. So because I just assume burly guys, explain that to me.

JJ [25:14]
I don't know.

Megan [25:14]
Burley's like a bigger, muscly man who looks like he like a lumberge. I'll protect you. Like a lumber chip. If you were on my flight, I'd probably clock you, especially with those shorty shorts on flipping leg muscles. But then you'd be like, Well, he's a kid, is he gonna get in the mix?

Matty [25:31]
But we couldn't. What about the pink toadies, Karen? Maybe he's got duct tape in there.

Megan [25:38]
But I always look around because I assume if you're a bigger, muscular man, if shit's going down on the plane, I'm hoping they're gonna get in the mix. And I feel safe. Now, if I look around and I don't have any of those guys, I do feel a little more nervous because I'm like, who's gonna be? But you'll be surprised.

JJ [25:55]
There are some women out there on planes that they will take anybody down.

Megan [26:01]
A butch lesbian, you better believe I'm clocking her.

Matty [26:04]
We're really making a lot of generalizations.

Megan [26:06]
Well, Uncle Kathy.

JJ [26:07]
If Uncle Kathy is on that plane, I think I feel happy. She is going to take care of us, Matty, and we're gonna have drinks with her after.

Matty [26:13]
I think if you have three Karen's on there, too, you're insane.

JJ [26:16]
Oh no, I think that there will be duct tape as well.

Megan [26:19]
Yeah, Karen's probably getting duct tape. That's the reality.

JJ [26:23]
Her mouth being the first thing. Oh, right, 100%.

Matty [26:26]
Well, that's all you have to do to her. Just zip her. Well, some of these Karen's are crazy.

JJ [26:32]
I do have to say that um Mr. Uh Lundine, um, he was affiliated with the long realty in Tucson. And as soon as Tucson. Tucson.

Megan [26:43]
Yeah.

JJ [26:43]
And he they actually fired him. They issue a termination and say that the whatever slurs and things that he was saying, they're not isn't they're not associated with any of that. So they took action uh as well. They duct taped his mouth.

Matty [27:00]
You can not be on the clock but held accountable for your actions and your words. 100%. Yeah, always. Let's hope our companies don't find this buggers. Okay, I have a crazy story about it.

Megan [27:15]

And this question probably will get asked, so I'll address it ahead of time. But Behan is not like the equivalent of John in America. It's not super common, but it's also not uncommon. And it can be a male's name or a female's name. Okay. So that's which I love. Which is important to the story. I think so. And he this is this happened in Turkey.

So also I've been there. It's so beautiful. Oh, yeah. Like on my top three places to go. Oh, top three? I haven't been. It's a little civil unrest. It's a little dangerous. It is dangerous, but it's beautiful and beautiful, man.

Anyway, they got so concerned that eventually members of the family organized a search party. Okay.

Or is this morning? This is well, kind of the same answer to both questions. I mean, it is an extension of that night, but it's past midnight, so it's the next day.

So in Turkey, they don't have like the same rich. Sometimes there's some guidelines of like you have to be missing for 24 hours before a search. Well, I don't know.

Do you guys do you two get together and say, what questions can we ask Matty that'll stump his ass? No.

I don't know. I'm just going with the search party. What kind of rules they have about the time you gotta be home? I'll sip it as well.

Bah apparently had passed out. Then he woke up and stumbled out of the bar or wherever he had passed out. And this was a smaller town. He got word that there was a missing person and a search party going on. And so he joined the search party. And so he was searching along the rest of these people. Yes. Behan. And he also called out apparently. This was in the real news. Yeah, I know. This is a real person, and that he was also Behan. Now, I'll say this is why I said in the beginning, it's not super uncommon in men and women. So it's kind of like a pat. A Pat or a Charlie. A Chris. He didn't consider himself missing. He was I just took a nail. So I passed out. No one's looking for me. I why would they be looking for me? Yeah. Right? Like if you didn't think you were missing and you knew where you were and you'd had a night out, like I and I didn't know if loved ones suddenly are like, we gotta find Behan. Yeah. And that's me. Until someone apparently said, Behan Muttlu. And he's like, he apparently goes, wait, that's me. Here. He said, here. Here. And he's like, oh my God, they're looking for me.

That is so good.

That is so funny.

That is a story that doesn't need to be recycled. I can't imagine. I would be out there like Matt? Well, they're looking, he's got Matty. I'd be like, no, Matty, I might cling on to. But if someone were saying Matt, I'm like, oh, he's got the same name as me. So search on it. Like, if because I think it all comes down to whether or not you really thought you were like, oh, well, that could be me because I haven't come home in two days. But if it's just like the next night you pass out somewhere, you wouldn't consider yourself missing.

I guess not. But I questioned like all these people on the search party, and that like he just joins in randomly walking down the street.

Well, if the whole community, you know how it is if somebody you see on TV and like he's stumbling home, he's not, he's still probably tipsy, and he's like, Well, I can find Bahan. I can do this. Yeah. So he wasn't still probably like that is a funny.

I mean, I I can only imagine because he is searching probably with a hangover.

Matty [32:38]
Well, yeah, of course. Well, the hangover, he's probably still intoxicated. Probably.

He's still tips.

It took me a while for you guys to let me get there, but it was good, huh?

So, anyway, a few episodes ago, I gave out some junk food and fast food drops that were coming soon.

Matty [33:04]
Yeah.

So I was able to get my hands on the OREOs latest drop that I flagged was coming. The new Apple Pie à la Mode OREOs, the Chicken & Waffles OREOs, and the Deep Fried.

JJ [33:19]
Yeah.

Megan [33:20]
You got all of them. Well, we already tried two.

JJ [33:22]
We tried the Deep Fried and the apple pie. Yeah, we tried apple pie and Deep Fried. That's a whole party.

Megan [33:28]
What was hard to come by and couldn't be found were the chicken and waffles.

JJ [33:32]
Yeah. Oh my gosh. Oh my god. She's had this hidden target bag over here. Toast back alert. I'll talk about that too. So I got my hand.

It's a little blurry. Yeah, hold them. I can hold them because I don't have the blur on the back.

So I love a be uh Dana White.

Yeah. And Dana White. Dana White. Yes. What's interesting is with these three flavors, is OREO is letting fans vote on which one they like the best for a limited return in 2027. The voting runs through October 12th. So you need to go to OREO.com and vote for your pick. And we're going to tell you what we think of all three. But first, before we taste test chicken and waffles, which the three of us have not yet had, we did have the apple pie a la modes in the floor.

Apple first and dip fried first. Yeah. That's right now. Oh, really? That's my order.

The apple pie for me, I'm not a big apple pie in general person, and it was very lackluster. And I wouldn't, if you put an Apple Pie à la Mode OREO in front of me today, I probably wouldn't eat it. If you put a regular OREO, I would. But not apple pie.

JJ [34:52]
What I did not like about the dip fried OREO was the fact that, and this is a struggle that I have with OREO, period. OREOs for me are usually a chocolate crack, like a chocolate cookie.

Megan [35:05]
Yes.

JJ [35:05]
When they come in with the vanilla, I just not a big fan.

Megan [35:10]
Well the apple pie had the But that's apple pie.

JJ [35:14]
But for a Deep Fried OREO, usually a Deep Fried OREO, it's a regular chocolate OREO.

Megan [35:21]
With the Deep Fried on the outside. So I think that's what they would have to do.

JJ [35:25]
Yeah, but I needed the crack, the the the crunchiness of an actual chocolate OREO. That's my own pen.

Matty [35:32]
Yeah, but that's I get it too, but that's gonna be hard to put into packaging and sit on the shelf. But I don't know.

JJ [35:38]
I I've done sorry. They've done coating OREOs before. So they should have done chocolate with a coating that's like my order is the reverse.

Matty [35:51]
Me too. I didn't quite like the apple. I wouldn't eat those again. Me too. The Deep Fried, I the Deep Fried, I here's the thing. I didn't I liked them. Did I find them to be a huge departure from the regular OREO? I did not. I didn't think they tasted that much different. So I'm like a lot different. Well, my buds are different. My buds are mine, your buds are yours. I think my buds didn't notice a huge difference.

From a flavor profile, they weren't that much different, but I think they have were a little more chocolate forward. And what I did love, and the other people who are taste testing those with us also commented on the inside was much creamier than a traditional OREO, where the OREO cream is a little more hard. It was super creamy, and it had a chocolate and vanilla inside. So it was I thought amazing.

I've got high hopes for waffle because a waffle can steal my vote, right?

All right. I'm ready for the I do love me at shaking and waffles. I've been in Matty's mention. I'm a big shaken and waffles fan.

Chicken, which is a little weird. But it's weird in a like, wait, do I want to keep eating this or not? Like I can't tell if I like it or dislike it.

I like it better than apple pie. But again, if you put it in front of me, I don't think I'd go for more. I'm into the chocolate. I want the Deep Fried. That's gonna be my vote. This gets my vote. Really? Over Deep Fried. Yeah. Wow.

Wow. Wow. We need to get our votes in. And so do you. Let me tell you the price for these, they're around $5.39 at Target. Walmart also has them, and supposedly Kroger. But unfortunately, Kroger, even though their website said they had them and I could pick them up now. I went there and they didn't have them. So I went to Target and Target, look at these really nice new bags.

Yeah, they're like no one can see this.

Well, totally nice new recycled bag. Let me van a light though. So like they were free. So normally they have a plastic bag. They were giving these little totes away for free. I don't know if this is the new Target bag or not, but I'm here for it. I'm totes.

I love it. Totes about it. Totes on board.

I'm gonna start with my slip it in. My slip it in is something that I discovered the last few months. And I was actually rereading about it, and I've been having solo crying days.

Intentionally having it. And you I at first you might think it's I pull it out because it doesn't really read as something that is joyful. But I have learned to try to take a day to just cry it out. I and sometimes I tap into missing my parents, sometimes I'm tapping into missing my family, sometimes I'm thinking about my life and and this celebrating how far I've come. And I really enjoy being able to not cry because I am sad, but cry because I'm happy where I'm at.

Wow. That's great. I love it. And and so I said, okay. Because I was gonna go into an immediate, and I'm like, nope, give him space, and I'm glad I did, because he answered my question. Because like if if you're gonna like today is gonna be one of those days, like, how do you uh initiate it or tap into it as you said?

I probably told you that because the other day I tell you, oh, I was listening to Sara Bareilles' new song new album, Good Grief, which is amazing. And in her new album, she really celebrates life in all forms. And sometimes I just start with that. I'm just gonna put Sara Bareilles this song that I like, and that takes me to probably read something that reminds me of my parents, my family, a card that any any of you send me. And it I it just helps me reflect back and kind of keeps honestly speaking, it keeps me grounded.

I think reflection is overrated or underrated. Like yeah, underrated. Right. Cause like I think I think to sit and reflect upon things I mean that have happened in your life, good and bad, there's value in that.

Megan [42:29]
Absolutely. And I do think crying is good sometimes to let things out as opposed to holding it in. It's kind of I think a good crying session is similar to a good screaming session.

JJ [42:40]
Oh god, getting it all out one way or the other. And you know the funny thing is right now, because I've done it, sometimes if I do feel that I'm like defensive with people or like grumpy about that, I'm like, Did you might just need a crying day? Just let it go.

Can I request crying days for you? Like if I if I know we're gonna hang out on Saturday, can I put in a can I put in a Friday request for JJ Crying Day? And I will have it.

No, I will say Target's online order system. When I was looking for these chicken and waffles, it said they were in stock. Where to find them at my local Target. I went there. They were right there? They were not there. Oh. And they were nowhere nearby. I couldn't find them anywhere on the shelves, around. I looked everywhere. So I went with my Target app that said they're in the store and available to customer service. They said, Oh, that's weird. They look it up. It says, Yeah, it says we have 25. They're like, it they should be there. I'm like, well, I looked, and where they said they'd be, there's just all these BTS OREOs, no chicken and waffles. So another coworker is like, you know what? I'll go look. And she took off. I'm like, okay, so I'm waiting.

Like the target lady do. Yeah. unknown: Oh god.

And I'm thinking before she left, the other target coworker said, Well, no one's bought them since like September 5th or something. And I'm like, that's not a good sign. I question that they're out there. And she's like, yeah, and they don't show they're in the back. It's just the they're supposed to be out there on, you know, B31. So I'm waiting. I'm waiting. I'm like, okay. Wow. It's getting to the point. Like, do I just do I just cut my losses and assume they don't have them? And I'm like, how long do I wait? Does she forget? Tied up with other things. Well, then I see her walking with this big brown box and some other man. And she's like, Oh, I found a whole box and back of 25, which is why it said we had 25. So here are they were in the back, but they were the their system said they were out for sale. So she gave them to me. She's like, I hope you like them. She's like, because I thought they were a little too maple-y for me.

All right. My reaction to this is the slip it in is one employee because everything else you said was kind of negative.

No, the online order system was accurate.

Spoiler alert. Oh the Target staff member said, Hey, if you had the banana pudding OREOs, they're amazing. Oh. So this is a good one. Is that a teaser? I don't know. We'll see if I can find them. They're no longer available at their Target. Oh, see if I can find them. That's a sign. Yeah. All right. All right. So I do have a pull it out and it's going to be quick. I saw this the other day, and it is 100% a pull. A duck light on the hitch cover of a Jeep. Have you seen it? At night, it's a neon outline of a duck and it's on the hitch the hitch of a jeep.

I saw it, and at first I'm like, oh, I kind of like the light, but then I'm like, no, I'm not. I don't support it. I'm not putting it on the link tree. I will say, apparently you can buy them through Etsy. I don't support it, but they do come in a lot of fun neon colors. Oh boy.

No, I'm not. You know what? Every time ever since we talked about this ducks, yeah. Every time I see them, I'm like, I know.

A lot of Jeep people like seem to have them all lined up, all their dashboards. I don't like it.

Well, yeah. And then taking it.

And when they are oversized, that is a double pool.

And I don't like a duck on a cruise ship either.

It's a big thing on like like Carnival, maybe, and some of the other like celebrity cruise lines. People just hide ducks with messages around the ship.

So I am loving this weather. This is my favorite time of year. I like to be outside. I like to sit out on my back patio. I have a neighbor. unknown: Hopefully. Three downs. Thank God school has started. But now they're in the phase of we got to get the most out of this trampoline as possible because winter is coming. They are jumping on the and all. Oh, they are so chatty Kathy. I'm like, aren't you winded from all these trampoline things? Like, nope, they are talking a mile a minute with the squeaks and the trampolines going off. It reminds me, JJ, when I'm at your house and your neighbor. He is like he thinks he's gonna be the next Michael Jordan. So he is might be.

Of trampolining? Of um sports. Basketball. I do too. I well, I support uh, you know, at least they're not inside on their phones.

Oh, really? Oh, well. We put in a tree to hide it. a tree to hide a trampoline light. That is a bullet out if I've ever heard. Right. I slip it in is I was listening to this podcast, and on the podcast, Anne Lamotte was on. I'm not familiar with Anne, I wasn't until then. She is an American author, an essayist, known for her candid, funny writing about faith, family, and friendships. She paraphrased this quote because she wrote this in a book, and from the book, they had kind of it's kind of followed her around. And she was talking about it in just normal speak. She was talking about her friends. So I'm gonna, I'm equating it to the two of you and other friends, close friends that I have, and says the only way I can get through life is because my best and most closest friends, luckily, we are not all nuts on the same day.

So speaking of nuts and stuff, so it just means like we all are nuts. We all have awful. It's funny because you you and I both had these emotional or um what is it, cathartic um slip it ins today. And that wasn't planned. But if I have a bad day, what gets me through or can get me through if I if I choose to accept it is to allow my friends to help me get through it because your your day of being nuts is probably on a different day than mine, and luckily we're not all nuts all the time. Yeah, and so the actual quote from the book, which is called Plan B further thoughts on faith, and I'm not a real religious person, but that it's neither here nor there. The reason life works at all is that not everyone in your tribe is nuts on the same day.
